Nkechi Oparaocha Graduates from The Loomis Chaffee School

The following student was among the 185 graduates from the Loomis Chaffee Class of 2011. The school's 95th Commencement Ceremony was held on June 3, 2011, in the historic Grubbs Quadrangle on the independent boarding school's campus. The Commencement address was given by Ruthie Davis, Class of 1980, designer and founder of her signature stiletto heels and handbag company that has achieved international success in the fashion trade.

Nkechi Oparaocha of Willingboro, NJ, was a high honors student who was involved in the community. As the president of the LC Gospel Choir, Christian Fellowship, and the You Go Girl! Club, she also participated in Chamber Singers, Student Council freshman year, and Track and Field, as well as the theater production of The Wiz. She will matriculate at The College of New Jersey.

Located in Windsor, Connecticut, The Loomis Chaffee School was chartered in 1874. A boarding and day school of 670 students from 29 U.S. states and 32 countries, the school includes boys and girls from grades 9 through 12 and post-graduate.
