Paul Han Graduates from The Loomis Chaffee School

The following student was among the 218 graduates from the Loomis Chaffee Class of 2012. The school's 96th Commencement Ceremony was held on June 8. More than 1,200 attendees tuned in to Commencement speaker and businessman William Bissell, Loomis Class of 1984, managing director of one of India's most successful retail companies Fabindia Overseas Pvt. Ltd. Bissell is the co-founder of The Fabindia School, which strives to "emulate Loomis' commitment to encourage students to be true to their own best selves." Bissell asked the graduates to lead the vanguard in reimagining a new approach to life, business, and social interactions.

Paul Han of Dhahran, received Mathematics Department Honors and was the co-president of the Debate Society. He played the clarinet in the Band and was a member of the Arab World Affiliation club, the Foreign Policy Association, the Stock and Finance club, and was a member of the Boys Varsity Cross Country team. He will matriculate at the University of Toronto.

Located in Windsor, Connecticut, The Loomis Chaffee School is a co-educational boarding and day school of 680 students from 28 states and 35 countries. The Loomis Chaffee School was chartered in 1874 by five siblings who had lost all their children and selflessly determined to found a school as a gift to the children of others. Since it opened its doors in 1914, the school has offered educational opportunities for boys and girls regardless of religious or political beliefs, national origin or financial resources. Academically vigorous, the school promotes active learning and close faculty-student bonds within a respectful and civil community.
